Northern Lights Labradorite Dancer Necklet

Clutching a beautiful labradorite gemstone, this Dancer necklet evokes the shimmer of the Northern Lights, creating a stunning piece of jewellery.

According to Inuit folklore, warriors found the Northern Lights (or Aurora Borealis) trapped in rocks along the Labrador coastline in Canada. One freed them with a spear, but some of the lights remained trapped in what became known as labradorite. Often seen in Orkney on dark moonless winter nights lighting up the sky in the north, they are known locally as the 'merry dancers'.

Made from recycled sterling silver, the pendant arrives on a sterling silver wire with easy to use clasp.

The pendant measures 54mm long.

orders are packaged in recyclable branded navy cardboard jewellery boxes
and we've replaced most of our plastic foam inserts with organic cotton
pouches. The pouches can be kept and are a great way to store your
jewellery long term.

Gift Wrapping

You
can choose to have your items wrapped in our gorgeous 1930s-style, hand
screen printed paper was created especially for us by William of Vintage paper Co. in Orkney.

The
ribbon we use to complete our wrapping is ethically recycled from waste
plastic bottles, which would otherwise have been thrown into landfill
or the ocean.

You can therefore rest assured that when you buy a

and wrapped in the most environmentally sustainably way we can –
without compromising on the quality and style you have come to expect
