Northern Lights Dancer Bracelet

The Northern Lights Dancer bracelet reflects the dancing Northern Lights in the dark Orkney night skies, with colour captured in the labradorite gemstones.  Its creation was inspired by the magical Northern Lights night sky, full of light, movement and colours which are celebrated on our islands.

According to Inuit folklore, warriors found the Northern Lights (or Aurora Borealis) trapped in rocks along the Labrador coastline in Canada. One freed them with a spear, but some of the lights remained trapped in what became known as labradorite. Often seen in Orkney on dark moonless winter nights lighting up the sky in the north, they are known locally as 'merry dancers'.

The bracelet is made from solid recycled sterling silver with genuine labradorite gemstones.
As the stones are natural, colours may vary.

The bracelet can be worn between 6.5 and 7.5 inches long. If you would prefer an alternative length please contact us.

Jewellery dispatch times vary depending on the metal of the item you have ordered. Please expect your delivery to be dispatched in the time frame outlined below, although it is often sooner:

Silver - dispatched 1-3 working days.
Gold - most pieces dispatched within a week unless made to order and we will contact you to inform you
Mixed metal - dispatched 1-2 weeks

All items are send it unbranded, discrete cardboard boxes. Jewellery
orders are packaged in recyclable branded navy cardboard jewellery boxes
and we've replaced most of our plastic foam inserts with organic cotton
pouches. The pouches can be kept and are a great way to store your
jewellery long term.

Gift Wrapping

You
can choose to have your items wrapped in our gorgeous 1930s-style, hand
screen printed paper was created especially for us by William of Vintage paper Co. in Orkney.

The
ribbon we use to complete our wrapping is ethically recycled from waste
plastic bottles, which would otherwise have been thrown into landfill
or the ocean.

You can therefore rest assured that when you buy a
gift from Alison Moore every effort is taken to make sure it is packaged
and wrapped in the most environmentally sustainably way we can –
without compromising on the quality and style you have come to expect
from us.
