It's that time of the year when we shop online the most. We rely on our wonderful Royal Mail postal service to get our handmade items from our Orkney island workshop to your doorstep. However, this year, postal workers are planning a series of strikes that look like they may very well disrupt that usual reliable service.
So to avoid getting your Christmas gifting arriving late, here's a couple of top tips:
- Shop as early as you possibly can! There is likely to be two days of strikes each week on the run up to Christmas, so the earlier you order something from us, the more chance it has of arriving in time.
- Royal Mail have said that they will prioritise the delivery of Special Delivery and Tracked 24 items, so select one of these services at checkout.
The next strikes are scheduled to start Thursday 24th and Friday 25th November, and 30th November and 1st December, although more dates are likely to be announced.
